After the pitched concept was confirmed and greenlit, we started working to build a working prototype of the game as soon as possible. My first task was to write some scripts and create a simple gun mechanic, which was supposedly meant to be one of the player's primary weapons.

I quickly set up a simple scene with placeholders for testing, and started writing the scripts.

Update: 5 May 2016

I managed to complete the MachineGun weapon mechanics, complete with the different tier upgrades as seen in the video. Here's a list of things added to the current game build:

- Completed main machine gun mechanic

- Completed upgrades for rate of fire & damage

- Completed upgrade for three-directional firing

- Completed upgrade for chance to incinerate enemies

- Completed upgrade for regenerating health upon hit

- Tier upgrades are activated by pressing 1,2,3,4,5 number keys according to tier

- Bullet speed, Damage, Fire Chance, and Regen Amount variables are adjustable for each bullet tier

Also, I've done some simple scripts for the player controls and enemy AI for use in testing.
